Praying Together

About BWAC

Purpose Statement

Established in 2014 the Blue Water Area Churches (BWAC) organization exists to:

1.    Provide a place where area church and Christian ministry leaders connect to encourage and support one another.

2.    Serve our community by actively representing the larger body of Christ through service projects, community worship services, prayer, and special events.

3.    Present a visible, unified forum for dialogue and collaboration between the Church and the broader Blue Water Area community.

As a distinctly Christian organization what unites us is our common profession of Jesus Christ. We come from many differing traditions and maintain our individual distinctives in doctrine and practice, yet we affirm our unity in Jesus Christ as understood by the central affirmations of the historic Christian faith, namely those of one of its most ancient and fundamental creeds, the Apostle’s Creed:

We believe in God the Father Almighty, maker of heaven and earth:

And in Jesus Christ His only Son, our Lord; who was conceived by the Holy Spirit, born of the virgin Mary, suffered under Pontius Pilate, was crucified, dead, and buried; He descended into hell; the third day He rose again from the dead; He ascended into heaven, and sits at the right hand of God, the Father Almighty; from there He shall come to judge the living and the dead.

We believe in the Holy Spirit, the holy universal church, the communion of saints, the forgiveness of sins, the resurrection of the body, and the life everlasting.

Member churches and ministries shall uphold these historic affirmations of the Christian faith, as well as support the three-fold purpose of the organization.
